Info for Merit Badge College just came out. Attached is the sign up sheet (.doc version or .pdf version). You can send it to me via email or give me a hard copy on Monday. 

Subject: Merit Badge College. This is optional but Scouts can complete merit badges in 2 weeks. 

Where: Weatherford College, 308 East Park Avenue, Weatherford, TX.  I'll need drivers. 

When: January 10 -> 12:05 P.M. – 5:30 P.M. and January 24 -> 1:00 P.M. – 5:30 P.M. Must go both days.

Cost: $15.00 per Scout/ $2.00 per Adult Scout (BSA insurance and patch - if adults want a patch, that's fine, but adults don't have to pay $2 if they don't want a patch.)

NOTE ON PICKING CLASSES: Please do not allow scouts to register for classes they are not mature enough to attend. This is our number one complaint from Instructors, Leaders, and Parents. For example, first year scouts are probably not ready for Eagle required classes except First Aid. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: As you can imagine, with over 1000 scouts attending we need lots of adult help. You can help as an instructor or a helper.

NO REFUNDS: If a scout can’t attend, you may insert another scout in their spot. There will be NO REGISTRATION AT THE DOOR. We have to order supplies and make up workbooks well in advance. 

Emergency Preparedness, First Aid, Environmental Science, and Public Speaking merit badges are two session classes. Scouts taking these courses will only be able to take 2 badges, and they will not be able to take more than one of these four courses.

DEADLINE: I need payment and your choices by 4 Nov. Payments must be received by November 10, 2008. Late payments will be subject to additional $100.00 fee or losing your Troop’s slot.
